Mike is an expert with significant experience and qualifications in the field of intellectual property law and litigation.
Mike’s undergraduate degree was in Economics and International Development at the University of Bath, but began practice in 2015 and quickly became a sought-after attorney, gaining his Chartered Trade Mark Attorney status in 2019. He is also certified as an IP litigator and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys. In 2016, Mike gained the highest mark achieved by a CITMA member in his Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property at Bournemouth University.
Having lectured in UK trade mark filing for the CITMA Paralegal course, published in the World Intellectual Property Review, and being a speaker at the CITMA Autumn Conference on EU Trade Mark case law in 2020, Mike is passionate about sharing his knowledge with others. Mike has successfully represented clients at the High Court, UKIPO, and EUIPO, and is well-versed in providing legal advice across a range of sectors, including FMCGs, the food & beverage sector, and the international children’s publishing and toy sectors.
